Donald Gilbert
1900–1961
Sculptor in a variety of materials. Born at Burcot, Worcestershire, son of the sculptor Walter Gilbert, he studied with him, with Sir Alfred Gilbert, at Birmingham Central School of Art, at the Royal College of Art under Derwent Wood and at the Royal Academy Schools under William Reid Dick and Henry Poole.
