A plain prison room. Sam Weller lies on a mattress on the ground in the right lower corner. He is looking at a man who has his bed underneath a table to the right. That older man smokes a pipe and looks back at the younger man. A chair strewn with clothes stands next to the table. The room\'s door is half open behind the chair. A fireplace is seen behind Weller\'s head. A single slipper lies on the floor and boots lie in front of the table at the left margin. Phiz\'s signature is on the lower left margin, the engraver\'s in the lower right corner.
