An episodical representation of the life of the second century saint Saint Eustace starting at the foot with the conversion of the Saint while hunting. There follows the visit of Saint Eustace and his family to the Bishop of Rome, the kidnapping of his wife, the loss of his sons while crossing a swollen river and finally, at the top, with the elevation of Saint Eustace and his family following their martyrdom at the hands of Emperor Adrian.
