Statue of King Edmund mounted over the gable end of the village hall. Below, a roundel carved in relief showing nearby Goldbrook bridge with figures passing over the bridge and King Edmund hiding underneath. Edmund was captured near Goldbrook Bridge in 870 AD. The Kerrison family of Oakley Park built the Village Hall in 1879 as a Reading Room for the parish.
