A part cast statue of the factory reformer with two children set on a polished granite plinth. Richard Oastler was the seen as the almost tragic hero. He was a humanitarian, inspired to help factory children from working cruelly long hours for small wages. This part cast is thought to have been executed in 1968. The statue has been moved three times.
