A cast bronze figure in low relief, attached to a two-plank wood panel, which is roughly and sketchily painted; the lower part of the bronze figure is encircled by long nails fixed into the panel and entwined with barbed wire; at bottom left and top left of the panel are groups of nail heads; a circular sun- or moon-like motif, in painted and intentionally torn hardboard, is nailed to the top left of the panel. The outline of the bronze casting has been used as a mask to create a shadow effect at the top right of the work.
