This roundel depicts an angel holding a scroll bearing the inscription 'Reap in Joy'. It is a tracery panel, which means it was part of the often delicately-shaped upper parts of a window mounted separately in the stone work. The main scenes of the window below illustrated the miracles and crucifixion of Christ, and was formerly in the chapel of a hospital in Gloucester, which is now demolished. It was designed by Nathaniel H. J. Westlake (1833–1921) and made by the firm Lavers, Barraud and Westlake in the 1870s. Westlake became a partner in this firm in 1868.
