Possibly a copy of a statue of Psyche, which was bequeathed by Jane Catherine Gamble in 1885. In 'Girton College 1869–1932', Barbara Stephen (Cambridge University Press, 1933), the statue from the Gamble bequest is referred to as a copy of Antonio Canova's Psyche. Given that this winged figure does not resemble Canova's Psyche in 'Psyche Revived by Cupid’s Kiss', it is possible that this is not the statue from the bequest.
