A seated 'fat monk', called Phra Sang Kachai in Thai or Mahathera Kaccayana in Pali, on a raised and tiered base made of gilded and red lacquered bronze. There is a flat panel on the back for an inscription which has been left blank. The upper tier of the base is composed of lotus petals. The 'fat monk' is characteristically seated with his hands wrapped around his stomach. Part of the clay core remains inside.
