Pencil sketch of a river/canal scene framed by tall arching trees. There is a waterfall to the left leading down into the river/canal. In the center sky there is a full sun/moon. On a branch above to the right is an owl perching. Directly below the owl there is a person laying on the grass below a tree. There is a castle-style building with a bridge over the water in the far distance. To the left of the frame growing in the grass are three mushrooms. Sticker on original packaging on reverse of images reads 'Sarah Louisa Kilpack. 1839-1909. Original work. Provenance: Sarah Louisa Kilpack's personal album of work c. 1860's. There is also a white paper sticker on the top left hand side which reads '21. 21/14.5' handwritten in pencil. '84' is written in biro ink in the top left hand corner.
