On a corniced plinth with a laurel leaf band a standing soldier holding a rifle (a machine gun lying behind his feet), a kneeling sailor holding a shell ready to load, and a soldier sitting sideways holding a pistol, all upon a tall square inscribed pedestal with a convex front bearing above a coat of arms and a triglyph row at its foot, resting on a three-stepped base, all encircled by eight low stone pillars with milled tops.
