black plaque with white lettering on eastern face: LITTLEHAMPTON TOWN CLOCK / The Town Clock was commissioned by / Littlehampton Town Council to commemorate the Millennium. / It was funded by the Town Council with contributions from the / Single Regeneration Budget and the Town Centre Action Group / The clock mechanism was fitted by local resident John Coles. / The Town Mayor, Cllr Mike Northeast unveiled this plaque / on Thursday 11 May 2000.
