One of 1,000 mileposts designed by four different artists from the four regions of the UK and erected by Sustrans at the start of the millennium to mark the National Cycle Network. This 'chain link' design is by Swansea sculptor Andrew Rowe, and the local scenes painted on it are by an unknown artist. The sculpture has provision at the top for up to five direction arrows and distances to local attractions and towns. This milepost has three arms, giving directions to the Mumbles and St Helens, the third arm is marked up 'To the Land Train'.
