One of a pair of figures used during a wedding ceremony (see 2008.247). It is a carved and painted wooden figure of Raden Sadono, kneeling. It wears a round flat-topped black hat with gold trim at the lower edge and an upward pointing triangular gold flap at rear. The face is painted white with red lips and a black moustache. The hair drawn back into a bun at nape of neck. The arms, bare torso and neck are painted gold with traces of red. There is an armlet with a garuda head on each upper arm and a necklace with a three-tiered pendant. The left hand is against one side of the left knee, with the right hand over the right knee. It has a green waistband with a black belt and gold buckle over it, with a Batik skirt cloth, kain, indicated in light and dark brown with detailed pattern contained within lozenges.
