A First World War Centenary Memorial, designed and built by local scout leaders. The Centenary display also includes models of two bi-planes and the battleship HMS 'Dreadnought'. The statue of the lone soldier stands with his head bowed and rifle inverted as a sign of respect for the dead. It stands on a tall square laser-cut steel plinth with plants growing from within, and out through the text.
