A bronze half-length bust of Lewis Edwards cloaked with left arm crossed across his chest and holding a book. The pedestal is granite with a square plinth and then shaft tapers on three sides with an inscription on the pedestal. There is a kerb around the bust which is set within iron standards and low link chains. The bust was commissioned to mark the centenary of Methodist ordinations at Bala. It was unveiled by his daughter, Mrs Dickens Lewis. Another daughter, Mrs W. R. Evans, and his son the Rev. D. Charles Edwards were present, and Principal John Rhys of Bala College presided. The bust is a casting of the head and shoulders of the statue at Bala and cost £150. Lewis Edwards (1809–1887) was born at Pwllcenawon, Penllwyn, Cardiganshire and was the founder and for 50 years Principal of Bala Calvinistic Methodist College (1837–1887).
