The characters celebrate the video games industry in Dundee through the ground-breaking global success of ‘Lemmings’, a computer game created in the early 1990s by Dundee-based DMA Design. The game was conceived and developed in the Nethergate. The sculptures are sited at the top of the steps leading to the digital media park, the idea being that they have ‘wandered out of their birthplace’. The work was made at Powderhall Bronze foundry.
