The Taoist deity Laozi (Lao Tzu/Lao Tse/Lao Tze) on his water buffalo. Laozi is often shown on a water buffalo or ox, but not always, and the items he may hold include a scroll, a fly whisk, a fan or a ruyi sceptre.
