In the foreground is grassy land which slopes downwards, sheep and trees on the land. Beyond the trees, at right, is flat land with trees. There is a river at the centre of the flat land, and the river is spanned by a three-arch bridge. To left of the bridge are the structures of a town, including a church with a square tower. To right of the bridge is a hill or mountain with wooded lower slopes.
