Copied from Granet's painting 'The Choir of the Capuchin Church in Rome' exhibited at the Salon of 1819, of which there are numerous versions by the artist (e.g. in the National Museum and Gallery of Wales, Cardiff) and copies by other hands. The name inscribed on this copy may indicate an artist, J. Patrick, who exhibited portraits at the Royal Academy in 1808 and 1813.
