A maquette design selected for production as a permanent sculpture for the Holocaust Memorial Garden in Bruce Castle Park, Tottenham in 2008. The artist Claudia Holder was a member of the art group working with Artscope at the Winkfield Centre in Haringey. Her working model is a polystyrene structure, painted grey, on a base. Twisted wire and metal mesh have been applied to create an impression of barbed wire and bars of a prison.

She said of her design: 'The sculpture is purposefully confrontational, rising from the ground to upset the tranquillity of its setting. It is an uncompromising memorial in every way, thought-provoking, disconcerting and a memorial to universal suffering.'

The permanent sculpture was made by the sculptor and metalworker Paul Margetts to Claudia Holder's design.
