A female Ibeji figure in lightweight wood made by the Yoruba people of Nigeria. It is light brown with a reddish tone in colour. The carving itself is very angular with a large head out of proportion with the rest of the body. The hair is carved in a Mohican style and has been stained dark brown. On either side of the head are large ears that have been incised. Attached to each of the lobes are pieces of twisted fibres that have been dyed red. The figure has an integrated base which consists of a circular wooden disc.
