An octagonal memorial in the form of an Eleanor Cross with a perpendicular style lantern and finials. There are also gargoyles, bearing figures of a soldier, an airman, a sailor and a nurse, regimental crests, civic and diocesan arms. These are accompanied by carved foliage and fruit including an apple, hop and mistletoe. The whole work is set upon an inscribed pedestal and three-stepped base.
