A coursed-rubble pedestal supports a statue of Hercules. The statue is of Hercules subduing the Nemean lion, which is the first of his 12 labours. The sculpture is thought to have been brought back from the continent after a grand tour, by the 4th Baronet Sir Wolstan Dixie.
