A statue of Herbert Ingram in stone on a pink granite plinth, shown with three bound copies of the 'Illustrated London News' dated 1851 and 1860. A second sculpture is situated in a front niche of the plinth, which is an allegorical female figure pouring invisible water from a vase. The latter is a reference to Ingram's work in bringing a new water supply to Boston.
