The memorial of Heart of Midlothian Football Club. It is comprised of a moulded rectangular-section pedestal, chamfered and corniced ashlar shaft. The east and west faces are round arched, holding a clock, with panels below and a squat obelisk on base above. The whole rests on an extended pedestal and plinth. On the east face there is a long panel below the clock, framed to the top and sides by a stylised wreath with a bronze plaque (dedicated to 1914–1919 casualties) to the bottom of the centre. It also has chamfered corners with lions' heads holding laurel wreaths at the level of the clock, with five tablets below, each carved with the name of a famous battle. The west face has a plaque dedicated to 1939–1945 casualties.
