A tall, pinnacled Gothic tabernacle on a high square buttressed plinth. It has a gabled, and crocketted canopy with ornate Gothic detailing above which rises to tall facetted spire with further Gothic ornamentation, and below which stands a bust of Duchess Harriet. There are inscriptions around the base and the foundation stone of memorial was laid by Queen Victoria.
