This painting depicts popular entertainer George Formby (1904–1961) on a motorbike flying over Warrington landmark Greenall's Wilderspool Brewery with his dog, Willie Waterbucket. He is scattering 'Warrington Guardians' as he goes.

George Formby spent some of his early life in Stockton Heath, near Warrington and is buried in Warrington Cemetary in the family grave.
