A seascape of rocks and inlets in shades of blue, brown and purple under a grey evening sky, with a full moon. Ray Howard-Jones is best known for her paintings of the Pembrokeshire coast, most particularly of Skomer, an island off the coast of Pembrokeshire. Gateholme is a nearby island. Her landscape and wildlife paintings sometimes used strong and bright colours for emotional effect.
