On a table with a marble top (the same table that appears in 'Fruit Piece with Dragonfly') are plums, grapes, peaches, figs and cherries. Vine leaves and a cherry branch rise behind the fruit. A dragonfly hovers in the space at the top of the picture and a peacock butterfly near the plums below. A witty addition is the cherry stone on a stalk that is shown at the corner of the table on the right.
