This image shows TSSY 'Esperance' moored in Rayrigg Bay on Windermere with horses Kim (left) and Lola (right). Used as a houseboat during the 1930s, 'Esperance' later sank in shallow water, but was salvaged and restored by T. C. Pattinson during the Second World War. This image probably dates from 1946–1956 when the cabin was painted brown.
