The statue of Dr Henry Jephson on a plinth, is sited within a circular, domed temple. Jephson is shown in doctor's robes on a cylindrical pedestal. A flight of eight steps leads up to the entrance of the temple which has a tooled architrave, a pulvinated bay-leaf frieze, and a cornice surmounted by a carved coat of arms.

information board: Jephson Memorial / Jephson Memorial was erected in / 1849 in honour of Dr. Henry Jephson. / The surrounding gardens were also / named after him. Henry Jephson set / up a medical practice in Leamington in / 1828. He believed that the local mineral / springs had health-giving properties. / Dr Jephson had many wealthy patients, / including members of the riyal family, / but he treated the poor free of charge. / The statue was carved by Birmingham / sculptor, Peter Hollins and made / from Carrara marble. It was unveiled / in May 1849 in the presence of Dr / Jephson. Dr Jephson was blind by this / time, but continued to play an active / role in local affairs. He also supported / charitable causes throughout England.
