A full-length bronze statue on local granite pedestal, featuring bronze relief panels. The figure is wearing a tailcoat and waistcoat, with the right arm raised with fist clenched as if in the midst of a speech, and the left arm flexed with hand closed around papers.

The statue was presented to the town by the Mayor (Owen Jones, JP, of Glanbeuno) and was unveiled by W. H. Hughes, ex-Prime Minister of Australia. David Lloyd George (1863–1945) represented Caernarvon Boroughs as a Liberal MP for 55 years from 1890–1945 and was also Constable of Caernarvon Castle. He was Chancellor of the Exchequer 1908–1915 and Prime Minister 1916–1922. He was created Earl Lloyd George of Dwyfor in the year of his death. After the death of his first wife, Margaret, he married his secretary, Frances Stevenson, in 1943.
