Artwork and design was integral to the environmental improvement scheme for the conservation area of Crawley's historic High Street, commissioned by Crawley Borough Council. The design of the guardrail draws inspiration from the historic buildings on the High Street. The panels feature cruck frame arches and silhouette images of local vernacular architectural.
