This image, taken c.1950, shows Robert Wilson and Elizabeth Ellen Wilson who lived in Bolton le Sands and fished for cockles in Morecambe Bay. Their cart, pulled by Tommy the horse, was filled with cockles, some of which were transported by train for sale in Preston.
