A marble bust of a Victorian lady wearing her hair in ringlets caught round her ears. This bust was identified in 1995 by Tim Knox (National Trust Architectural Historian) and Maggie McKean as being a sculpture of Charlotte Lucy Beatrix Egerton (b.1824), the only daughter of Wilbraham and Elizabeth Egerton. The sculpture was commissioned in 1842 from Richard Westmacott, the Younger (1799–1872), probably to commemorate the coming of age of Miss Egerton. Three years later, Miss Egerton died of a bronchial affliction aged 21 and an elaborate memorial was created in her honour in white and grey marble in the Church of St Mary in Rostherne by Richard Westmacott.
