A statue of a boy, holding a bird's nest. This sculpture has been very heavily restored; the head bears no comparison in material or scale to the rest of the sculpture and is clearly an addition. However some of the restorations have been effected to a high standard by a mason sculptor, but with little comprehension for cohesion with the old work. The statue has been broken through below the ankle and the whole base and his right leg have also been repaired in a stone that does not match. His right shoulder has been completely re-joined. Despite this the original elements are of some quality, his jacket is well cut and the positioning of the leg and arms is good. There was great detail in the birds nest he holds in his left arm and the pipe that is suspended from his side, but this is all now very weathered.
