A carved wooden Chinese figure, part of a Chinese sculpture in the form of a tree with deity figures and birds. It probably depicts the Buddhist deity Bodhisattva. Wood grain can be seen down the surface of the figure's carved robed sleeves. He has black beaded eyes and the sides of his mouth are lowered. The top part of his chest is bare, revealing a protruding rib cage.
