View of Assisi in Italy, looking down from the hillside across the rooftops and a church, toward the sea on the right-hand side of the picture. The church functions as the focal point of the image, the viewer sees it from front-on perspective as it is raised higher than the other buildings. There are hills in the background which have some blue tones. The overall colour of the image is terracotta as many of the buildings are represented in those earthy tones.
