A large statue of Andrew Carnegie on a stepped T-plan pedestal with a large stepped square-plan base. The foliate frieze to the pedestal incorporates a plaque recording details of Carnegie's life to the west side. The sculpture was erected to commemorate the man responsible for the creation of the public park. The millionaire, who was born in Dunfermline, purchased Pittencrieff House and grounds in 1902 and opened the park to the public the following year. The statue was erected while Andrew Carnegie was still alive.
