The figures are cut to silhouette and pasted on grey paper sheets. The man carries on his shoulder an elaborate arched tabernacle containing two water pots tied in place with silk cords. The pots are marked with the letter ‘X’ which refers to the key in the lettering. The woman holds an ornate fan and a cymbal (?).
