The three main roundels, each placed between fluted columns, are located above the ground-floor windows. They depict classically draped, seated female figures representing Mercy (shown in profile proffering a bowl with her left hand and holding a jug in her right); Justice (seated frontally, holding a sword and a set of scales; Truth (facing left, with naked breasts and feet on the neck of a large writhing serpent). A smaller fourth roundel on the attic pediment contains a female head and over the door on the east entrance, olive and oak branches are carved in the spandrels of the arch.
