Jan Baptist Weenix

1621–1660/1661

(b Amsterdam, ?1621; d Huis ter Mey, nr. Utrecht, ?1660/1). Dutch painter. From 1642/3 to 1646/7 he was in Italy, and on his return to Amsterdam he painted Italianate landscapes close in style to those of Berchem, who is said to have been his cousin.
