Roelandt Savery

(b Courtrai [Kortrijk], ??1576; d Utrecht, 25 Feb. 1639). Flemish-born Dutch painter, draughtsman, and etcher of landscapes, animal subjects, and still life, the most distinguished member of a family of artists.
