Eilis O'Connell
b.1953
Sculptor, born in Londonderry, Northern Ireland. Attended Crawford School of Art, Cork, 1970–4; Massachusetts College of Art, Boston, 1974–5; then Crawford School, 1975–7. She won many awards and prizes, latterly including the Art and Work Award, Wapping Art Trust, for Nyama, at Bishopsgate, 1996, and Royal Society of Arts Award, 1998.
