Peter Griffin
b.1965
Sculptor and teacher, born in Beverley, Yorkshire, married to the artist Denise Griffin. With her for Maitreya Project International from late 1997 he created the prototype of a 152-metre (500-foot) bronze Buddha, the same height as a 50-storey building, for north India, “the tallest sculpture in the world”.
