Rowel Boyd Friers
1920–1998
Painter, cartoonist, book illustrator, stage designer and muralist, born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, brother of the artist Ian Friers. He attended Belfast College of Art on a scholarship, having trained in lithography with S C Allen, Belfast.
