Gertrude Mary Coventry
1886–1964
Painter, notably of portraits, landscapes and coastal scenes, born in Glasgow, daughter of the artist Robert McGown Coventry. She studied at Glasgow School of Art, 1902–11, and painted with her father in the Netherlands, Belgium and at Pittenweem, Fife, where she met her future husband, Edward Robertson.
