A bedroom in a cottage at nighttime. One man, using his arm as a pillow, lies on the floor asleep. Behind him stand a chest of drawers and a desk above which is a stained glass window. To the left, a terrified-looking man wearing a nightcap sits in his bed holding his blanket up with both hands. His bare foot sticks out underneath. He is furtively looking to his left. A dog, crouching in front of the bed and growling, looks into the same direction.
