One of an album of 44 watercolours, produced to illustrate 'An account of Indian serpents collected on the coast of Coromandel, London, 1796–1809' by P. Russell. The text accompanying the artwork provides the name of the snake, written in the Teluga language of South East India and bears the number, XVI.
